We are excited to announce that on March 17, 2024, Guinness World Records officially recognized our animate Ikebukuro Flagship Store as the world's largest anime store.
The animate Ikebukuro Flagship Store celebrated a grand opening on March 16, 2023, after expanding the original store over the former site of the Ikebukuro Health Center. Boasting nine floors with double the previous area and two basement levels, it is now the first "largest anime store" record holder.
The title was awarded after an intense process involving a registered architect, land and house investigator, and surveyor taking measurements in the presence of an official Guinness World Record certifier.
