"Bocchi the Rock!" Compilation Movie Project: New Ikuyo Kita Teaser Visual & Ikumi Hasegawa Comment!

The TV anime "Bocchi the Rock!" is coming to the big screen as a compilation film project! Part 1, "Bocchi the Rock! Re:," is scheduled to release spring 2024, and part 2, "Bocchi the Rock! Re:Re:," will release summer 2024.

Character designer and chief animation director Kerorira has revealed brand-new teaser art featuring Ikuyo Kita! Ikumi Hasegawa, who voices Ikuyo Kita, has also provided an official comment.

Ikuyo Kita Voice Actress Ikumi Hasegawa Provides a Comment!

When asked how she reacted to the compilation movie project news, Hasegawa said she was excited that it would finally be possible to watch "Bocchi the Rock!" on the big screen. She is, of course, excited to see the incredible concert scenes, but she also wonders how it will be seeing Bocchi's eccentric behavior on the big screen. Even now, she enjoys imagining it...! However, she believes that the anime version of "Bocchi the Rock!" is already the kind of show where every second is interesting, so she isn't sure what they could cut. She's sure the staff are taking great pains over it, and hopes fans pay attention when watching.

When asked for a message for all fans looking forward to the compilation movie project, Hasegawa said she fully plans to go to the cinema lots. She says that showing "Bocchi the Rock!" at the cinema means there will be big rooms full of people who may be strangers, but are connected by their love for "Bocchi the Rock!" laughing and crying together in the same place. That sounds amazing to her. The nature of movies means they have limited screenings, so she advises fans to mark it in their calendars. Hasegawa says she is looking forward to getting hype with everyone once again.
