TV Anime "Lycoris Recoil" Café LycoReco Twitter Posts Mysterious Message, Fans Try to Decipher

On November 1 2022, the "Lycoris Recoil" related Twitter account "Café LycoReco (@LYCO_RECO)" posted a mysterious code.

"Lycoris Recoil" is an original TV anime produced by A-1 Pictures, which began airing on July 2 2022. Despite around two months having passed since the TV series ended, it remains popular: a spin-off novelization had to schedule a reprint even before the first print released, the series selling over 200,000 copies total.

Japan is known as the safest country in the world... but few know the truth behind this: a crime prevention organization known as the "DA" utilizes female assassins known as "Lycoris" to enforce peace. One day one of these assassins, Takina Inoue, is transferred to Café LycoReco, a branch employing a girl known as the top Lycoris: Chisato Nishikigi... The story follows these two Lycoris as they face a variety of incidents.

The fans' immediate attempts to decipher it began to go viral. 

Some hints: several fans pointed out that the first part of the code, "W963N," may be related to the character Kurumi (voiced by Misaki Kuno). Fans also may have found a clue on the official site.

Fans who deciphered the code posted reactions such as: "LycoReco fans have to see this!" "I love it when they do things like this after a show ends." and "Very interesting info..."

With Volume 2 of the Blu-ray & DVD series was released October 26 2022, and a spin-off manga "Lycoris Recoil Recollect" beginning serialization on October 28, "Lycoris Recoil" is still giving fans plenty to get excited about. We recommend keeping an eye on the official site and Twitter!
