The year is 208X. The place, Japan. The government is going to run a publicly funded arts festival: Growing Fes.
Happily, the eight students from Ironoha Music Academy who participated in the Tokyo Color Sonic music battle festival last year will be joining this festival too.

It is an amazing honor for these students to participate in the biggest music festival in history, and mix with famous artists as representatives of their academy.

The group of ten has been assigned to pair up and create music.
It may seem similar to the rules of Color Sonic, but the teacher in charge, Tadokoro Yukiya (CV.Daisuke Namikawa), explains:
"Unlike Color Sonic, this isn't a battle. Your task is to work together as a group to make sure everyone has a blast at the festival."
