≪Summary≫
The Year 2019:
Regional police officer Junji Urihara (Eiji Akaso)arrests a famous criminal and was awarded the police chief's award. Takeshi Shindo (Kaoru Kobayashi), a coordinator of the Investigation Section of the Prefectural Police Headquarters, reassigned Urihara to the Investigation Section and told him to wait for Kimichika Kazama (Takuya Kimura) to contact him.
Kazama is a detective instructor in the Investigation Division of the Prefectural Police Headquarters. He partners with newer detectives who are still in the early stages of their careers, and teaches them the skills necessary to become full realized detectives through actual case investigations.
His fellow detectives call it "Kazama Dojo," and this is where Urihara was trained and learned the foundations of what it means to be an actual detective.
During this time there was a case where a passenger in a cab was stabbed to death. The man that was murdered was Kentaro Ashizawa (Yuki Kubota) an owner of a host club.
Ashizawa was riding in the taxi together was a woman. However, the woman got off first and told the taxi driver that before Ashizawa had passed out from being drunk he told her to the driver taken to a specified location. The driver only realized that Ashizawa was dead when he arrived at the specified location. Urihara was told by Kazama to go and question the taxi driver.
The driver stated that Ashizawa showed pictures on his tablet to the woman claiming that there were from a recently trip.
With the advice from Kazama Urihara looks up records from the taxi company and a woman named Yumi Hikana (Rio Uchida) is now being considered a suspect in the case.
